TODAY I AM 24….

I have to thank God for letting me see this day in good health surrounded by love and im greatful for that. 

last month a girl i went to hs died with both her father in law and her 2 sons…she would of been 24 this yr..

another guy i went to school with was killed months after graduation he would of been 24 this yr…

a very close friend of mine named jaleel was killed 4 years ago when he was 24…

I say this not to be sad or a bummer but to show how life isnt promised and how greatful we truly should be to see another day let alone another year…i am very greatful

My father i thank you for continuing to protect me and watch over me blessing me with many great things but also experiencing struggle to help me build more strength to fight the things which seem at the moment overpowering. I thank you for real friends and real family who are always there to encourage me to follow my dreams and seek out my passion. I thank you for the loving man that i can not only call my boyfriend but my best friend always their when i need advice or someone to talk to. I thank you for good health and even tho its alot of things i dont have that i wish i did you always show me the importance in the things that do have.

Was downtown yesterday and spotted some dancers putting on a show infront of the clothes pin in Philadelphia. So I snapped a couple of shots…these guys had skills!

FROM THE MIND OF SHORTYRISE: PHOTOSHOOTS

So ive been scouting locations for my next portfilio shoot and I Believe Ive narrowed it down to the perfect place! Rittenhouse Square in philadelphia.

I cant tell you guys the premise of the shoot yet but do know its gonna be amazing! Its gonna be my first 2 model shoot. 1 male and 1 female. Im really excited and wish I could go shoot it tomorrow but we must wait for everything to be perfect!

Im also doing a personal project of my own series of photos called

SNEAK(HER) HEADS UNITE!

Its gonna be photos of my fellow female sneaker heads wearing their favorite sneakers and answering some questions on why they are a sneakerhead and why the shoes they are wearing are their fav!

Got a couple females down pack might actually do the first session tomorrow on temple university’s campus. the more girls the more dope it will be so if you are interested in being apart of it HIT ME UP!!!

Got to do my first male model shoot the other day with my homie Juan! the camera loves this guy got alot of great pics of him.

A friend of mine Kinesha came along to watch what we called the “master at work” she also helped alot with styling and posing Juan. She is also a inspiring model and our next shoot will be her and Juan together…cant wait :)

JUSTIN GRADUATED!!!!

The main reason I went to South Carolina was to see my boyfriend Justin Graduate for his ARMY AIT (army school). He is now officially a U.S Solider. He has come along way and im super proud of him. He is now station in the Mountains of Fort Drum NY where it snows in the so called spring time lol He Hates it but happy he is still in the states and only 6 hours away from me. No more bedtimes or restrictions like when he was in bootcamp now he is off every weekend and his day is done by 5pm. Now we can finally go back to normal! lol :)

Went to South Carolina the other day and hung with some friends and also tried out longboarding. Ive skateboarded for awhile now and never really understood the point of longboarding until i tried it…sooo dope! pretty much its just crusing bombing hills which is a dope adrenaline rush! everyone should try it!
